I have a Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from Winebrenner Theological Seminary. My graduate counseling internship took place at Family Resources in St. Petersburg, FL where I counseled children ages 6-17. I helped with anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, trauma processing, behavioral problems, and parenting strategies, among other things.
Prior to my work in counseling, I spent about ten years in higher education doing HR and administrative work. The most rewarding aspect of my career was the work I did with people. During that time, I was also a bi-vocational minister for nearly seven years where I often pastorally counseled congregants.
I am a drummer; I favor jazz, funk, and improvisational music, though I fully affirm that good music transcends genre. I like to think. I regularly enjoy a cup of fresh ground Chemex coffee. I enjoy cooking as time permits, and watching the Jacksonville Jaguars get an occasional win.
